ABOUT CMA
The Composer Music Atelier (CMA) is a platform for New Egyptian Music Composition with Egyptian composer Nahla Mattar.
​
CMA has produced 4 concerts from December 2017 to April 2019, in collaboration with the Egyptian Modern Arts Museum. In addition, CMA has conducted two workshops with children, the second ending in a public recital in August 2020, in collaboration with Music Zone.
Currently CMA is publishing it's new Composition album on Soundcloud and other social media platforms. One international collaboration were founded in Feb. 2019, with Danish composer Sune Kolster, as Between Two Cultures composition workshop took place in Cairo and ended with a concert in Arabic Music Institute, Cairo Opera House

Music & Visual Arts Carnival

Resulted in:
Drawing Sound Workshop with school Students visiting the museum.
New Music Concert on the collections of the museum by Ramz Sabry, Wael
Samy, Amr Al-Baz, Marwan Fawzy and Feras Nouh, for violion, cello, clarinet,
bass clarinet, and piano. The concert were proceeded by a lecture by musicologist
Dr. Rasha Tomoum.

Classical music concert with live painting of Hisham Nawar and Hebba Saleh,
and musicians of Cairo Conservatory: Lamis Shams, Youssef, and Mohamed
Ahmed.

New Year Waltzes

Resulted in chamber music concert of new waltzes by: Kmal Mustafa, Amr AL-Baz, Feras Nouh, and Nahla Mattar. The concert were proceeded by an orientation to the art of waltz by Nahla Mattar.

First Concert of CMA

Resulted in an orientation lecture to music by Egyptian Nationalistic composers, then compositions by: Kamal Mustafa, Amr Al-Baz, Nahla Mattar, and from the repertoire: Abou Bakr Khairat and Youssef Greece, and Aziz Al Shwan, for piano, flute and clarinet.
